Programs and Projects

Members of the ITG (Instructional Technology Group) are involved in a wide array of projects. Below are descriptions of some of these projects along with contact information if you are interested in learning more.

Image Database tools

Tired of clumsy slide carousels and noisy projectors? The ITG is investigating several applications that will allow you to manage and display digital images through a Web interface.

Contact John Blackburn (x8651, blackburnj@wlu.edu) or Jeff Overholtzer (x8440, joverholtzer@wlu.edu) for more information.

Instructional Technology Forums

The Instructional Technology Group, along with the Dean of the College, sponsors a monthly lunchtime series dubbed the Instructional Technology Forums where faculty demonstrate the technology they are using to enhance instruction and research at the University.

Contact John Blackburn (x8651, blackburnj@wlu.edu) or visit the forum web page for more information.

GIS: Geographic Information Systems

Events occur in space and time, and geographic interfaces, i.e. maps, are a great way to organize and analyze the data (text, numbers, images, sound) that accompany these events.

Contact John Blackburn (x8651, blackburnj@wlu.edu) for more information.
